With the excitement of Dinosaur Week I didn't even have time to set a home-learning challenge for everyone!
The top priority for home learning after a busy term's work is to ...
... have a good rest! Enjoy your Easter holiday, spending time with family and friends and take a well earned break!
If you are yearning for school then these three activities should keep you going:
1. Learn to tell the time. Start with o'clock times, get to know the difference between the hands. Know what the hour hand does. Tell the time with just the hour hand. Then look at the minute hand, count in 5s around the clock. Start at the 12 and count the minutes past the hour with the minute hand. Write down digital times. Then when you are confident look at quarter past, half past and quarter to. We will be learning about time in the first few weeks back after the holidays so a bit of pre-learning will make you super confident!
Challenge: Work out time intervals - calculate times from one given time to another, look at timetables, TV programs and cooking times.
2. The Red Reading Challenge continues, curl up at bedtime and share a good book.
3. Spelling is a challenge! In the middle of your Reading Journals there is a list of common exception words, find out which words you still need to learn to spell and which words you're confident with!
Happy Easter everyone!
