Year 2 - Literacy Learning - Week Beginning 19th March 2018

This week we have been focusing on poetry.  The children have been developing expanded noun phrases to describe the Great Fire of London.  For example: leaping flames, billowing black smoke.  From these phrases we have created shape poems which are going to be displayed on our "Pudding Lane" display.  The children worked hard to use interesting language choices, painting a picture with their words.  Why not try writing a poem for this week's home learning.  You could write some noun phrases for dinosaurs!
