Year 2 - Maths Learning - Week Beginning 5th March 2018

We have continued to look at 2D and 3D shape.  Looking at all of the vocabulary relating to this.  We have talked about the corners of shapes, right angles and other angles that make up corners or vertices.  We have even built some 3D shapes using a construction kit we have in school called Polydron.  At home why not have a go at building a 3D shape with straws?  These ones were made with bendy straws by carefully slitting the end of one straw and pushing it into another.  Can you find out the names of the shapes in the picture?
