Year 2 - Week 3

Hi everyone, wow what an amazing week we have had in Year 2. As we draw closer to the end of the year I have been reflecting on our time in Year 2, and to see how far all children have come has been incredible. Your children make me proud every day!

This week we have completed our measurement, capacity and temperature unit in Maths. This week we will be focusing on efficient methods. In English we have been looking at writing poems and how to structure these. This week we will be looking at a tradition tale - Jack and the Beanstalk. In Science we have been focusing on living things and their habitats.

Just a reminder as the weather is getting a lot warmer. Please can you send your children in with suncream on and with a sun hat. Also, can you double check that your child has a water bottle. We are encouraging children to drink lots as it's getting so much hotter.

All children have been super with their swimming lessons and have shown so much enjoyment!

This week's home learning is to access our online platforms - Numbots, Mathletics, Purple Mash and Ed Shed. If you need any logins for these please let me know.

Sadly, this is the last week that we will have Miss Greedy with us. Her last day is on Thursday and she will be truly missed by us all!

See you all tomorrow!

We cannot believe that we are about to start the final half term of Year 2, where has this year gone?!

Just a few reminders:
- PE will be on Wednesday and Friday. We are also continuing with swimming this half term on a Thursday.
- Please can children be sent in with a summer hat and ensure they have a water bottle. Also, please can you put sun cream on your children before coming to school.
- We still have some children without PE bags in school. Please can you double check your child has one in school.
- Please ensure all snack pots, water bottles and uniform are labelled.

Thank you and see you tomorrow!
