Today the children drew some amazing story maps adapting the story of the Bear and the piano. Next week we will use these to plan and write stories.
Thank you to Ashton the Optometrist who came in on Thursday during 'world sight day' to talk to the children about their eyes, vision and showed them the lenses. Did you know that children get free eye tests?
We have had some great adventure time this week.
Today was 'World Mental Health day', we talked about how important it is to talk to a trusted adult about how we feel.
This morning we had Karen in from the fire service to give the children a fire safety talk. We learnt about how to keep safe and the importance of not touching matches and also to check your fire alarms every week.
My spelling group are having a two week focus on the soft c sound and so they have a consolidation task.
Please remember it is the farm trip on Tuesday afternoon. The children should wear their school tops but can have home trousers. Please bring wellies to school and wear trainers to school.
Finally, Miss Taylor has started her Teacher Training placement with us.
Miss Taylor will be with us Monday-Thursday until February.
