Leaves
For their home learning this week, I would like the children to find leaves from different species of trees. (How about 6 different trees?)
Can they pick one leaf from each and draw a careful outline of its shape?
Can they perhaps find the name of the species of tree that it came from?
What do the different leaves you have found have in common? In what ways are they different? Are all the leaves on the same tree the same colour? Are the leaves the same colour on each side?
Did you notice any fruit, berries or nuts on the trees that you looked at?
