The class have been working super hard this week, learning lots of facts about Victorians and placing these into their own non fiction books! They so far have chapters on Victorian Christmas, kitchens and what life was like as a child. They will soon be ready to share, please keep a look out as they will appear on the wall when ready!
Spellings this week went well, it was pleasing to see a large number of the class getting full marks or close to scores. a few children need to get into their weekly practice a few practices, I explained to the children that this helps the new learning sink into our brains! Please repeat, and show the children how this routine doesn't impinge greatly on the 'out of school time!' A good start for their future learning.
Praise assembly on 15th January the following members of the class were praised:
* Finley Long and Poppy Trent - super pictures of LS Lowry factory scene using the IPADS art program
* Alfie Wood - super finding of facts towards writing his Victorian book!
* Scarlett Hoskin - super attitude to learning in maths this week when tackling division and linking this to multiplication
* Megan Gardener - for making super progress with her reading and learning her spellings
* Lewis Rogers, Odette Mistry-Dyer, Nicole Holland, Andrew Stevens, Avril Kwan and Finley Long - praised for super posters created using Pic Collage app, posters contained their goals and targets. They had to use skills such as importing picture, creating background, colour choices, text and saving their work!
* All the class's attitude to Home Learning! Lots coming into school each day, showing all children are interested and curious learners, brilliant! It would be lovely to see some maths work coming in too! Class marble was earned!
