This week we plan to go to the market in Dorchester to use real money to purchase real food so that we can make a three course meal for us all to try. The idea of this trip is to compare our market in Dorchester with one in The Gambia that we have found out about through our topic. The children then get to use their maths skills to pay for items and get change. Back at school we use the food to create a banquet which we can all try. The weather forcast says that it is going to be very cold this week. If the weather is too cold we will not be going and we will postpone the trip to next Wednesday 7th March. Please provide your child with warm clothing, hats, gloves, coats and scarves through next week to ensure they are warm enough when they go outside.
