What an amazingly busy and fun week we have had in year 2. We started the week with Sports Day. The children did brilliantly in all of their races and skills, showing great determination and good sporting attitudes. The parents enjoyed their races too (don't they look determined)! In the afternoon we walked up to Thomas Hardye School to listen to a presentation by Rachel Bright a children's illustrator and author. She showed us photographs and told us about what inspired her to write and draw her own books. She also read us some of her stories and taught us how to draw our own little monsters.
We have also been taking part in the Mathletics competition, and on Tuesday most of the children managed to get some points towards their target.
Year 2 have also been working very hard towards their class assembly. I hear they did wonderfully well and are true superheroes!
