We have got an exciting term ahead of us in Year 2! Our topic is ‘Now and Then’, focusing mainly on Victorian times, building on our work before Christmas which really seemed to capture the imaginations of the children. If you have any old family heirlooms or photographs at home that the children could bring in to add to our Victorian display we would love to see them. I have also suggested to the children that they might like to do some ‘research’ into the topic by looking at books in the library or going on the Internet. After half term we are going to go even further back in time and look at the Great Fire of London! This will be an exciting and stimulating project and we are planning to ‘fire up’ the children’s imaginations with lots of stories and role-play.
