Hello Y2 families
A couple of weeks ago the Year 2 had a wonderful day exploring the beautiful seaside town of Swanage.
Our adventure began at Norden Station, where the children boarded the Swanage Railway steam train. For many, this was their first experience of travelling on a traditional steam train, making the journey extra special. As the train travelled through the countryside, the children enjoyed looking out of the windows, spotting the beautiful scenery and listening to the sound of the steam engine. There was great excitement as the train pulled into Swanage Station.
From the station, we made our way down to the beach, where the children couldn't wait to kick off their shoes and enjoy the sand. They had a fantastic time building imaginative sandcastles, creating sculptures and playing together. It was wonderful to see so much teamwork and laughter.
After all that excitement, we headed to the bandstand to enjoy our packed lunches together.
Our final stop was the play park, where the children had another opportunity to play, explore and have fun together before it was time to begin our journey home.
The children were a credit to The Prince of Wales School throughout the day. They demonstrated excellent behaviour, kindness and respect, representing our school brilliantly wherever they went.
A huge thank you to all of the staff and volunteers who helped make the trip possible. It was a memorable experience, and judging by the smiles on everyone's faces, Year 2 enjoyed every single minute!
