This week in Year 2!

Hello everyone, we hope you have had a great weekend!

This week in Year 2 we have been so busy and have been on many exciting adventures. The level of learning we have seen this week has been incredible. Every week the children make us so incredibly proud.

In Literacy/History we have been looking at Victorian houses and comparing these to our houses today. The children were so engaged and are showing that they are enjoying this topic. In Maths we continued to look at addition and subtraction. We've been looking at ten more and ten less. In Science we have been exploring plants and this week we learned what was in a seed. In computing we are looking at spreadsheets and how these work.

Here are a few reminders about the week ahead:

- Reading Records came home on Friday and should be returned to school EVERY Friday for staff to sign. Please log in the record every time your child has read. This can be their Book Bag Book or the library book that you have shared together.

- Tomorrow is odd socks day to celebrate the beginning of our therapeutic thinking week (Monday 14th November)

- Friday 18th November is Children in Need. Children can wear non-school uniform on this day. Children in need merchandise will be available to buy all week. We are also having a cake sale on Friday. If you want to make a cake to be sold, please bring this in on Friday morning with a list of any ingredients.

See you all tomorrow!
