We have started looking at time in our Maths lessons this week. We have been extending our understanding of telling the time as well as reading numerical dates and finding out when everybody's birthdays are in the class! When telling the time at home always encourage your child to look at the hour hand first. It is amazing how much you can tell about the time just using one hand of the clock! You could ask questions about the hour hand such as...Is it just before or after 8 o'clock?
Can you tell me when the hour hand is half way between the 2 and 3?
What time is it when the hour hand is half way between two numbers?
