Year 2: Week 5 and home learning suggestion

Thank you so much for the pictures of the children measuring and baking delicious goodies. I have shared most of the pictures now in our Maths lessons but will carry this on next week for anyone that might bake over the weekend!

This week the children have been writing about our new book: Ocean meets the sky. They had to write instructions on how to make their own boats.

In Maths we have been reading temperatures and now have moved onto learning about fractions.

In Science the children have been observing their seeds and beans growing and recording their findings. We've spoken a lot about germination and the meaning of this. This week for home learning we would like your child to access Purplemash. Below shows the links that they should follow. There isn't anything to hand in, it's just activities and quizzes linked to plants. However, if your child sees an activity they would like to do on the page then they are more than welcome to give it a go.

Apologies about the miscommunication about the upcoming trip. Just to confirm that it is Tuesday 3rd June. We will be getting a bus so if you know your child suffers from travel sickness please could you let us know. Thank you for all the offers of parent helpers, we have enough now. All children to have a backpack with their lunch, snacks and drink. Hopefully it will be nice weather so sun hats and suncream and it's really important that they have their wellies on but also have a spare set of clothes as they might get a little wet. School tops is best but home trousers/shorts is absolutely fine. If you have any more questions about the trip please just come and see me at the door or email me.

Have a lovely weekend... only 1 more week of Summer 1 to go! Where is the time going?!!
