As part of our PSHE (Personal, Social and Health education) we
follow a programme called JIGSAW. The sessions from September build upon
children’s emotional literacy, self-esteem and knowledge of who they are, how
they relate to one another and the world in a positive and healthy way. You may
have heard of the class’s JIGSAW friend? The summer term units are about ‘Relationships’
and ‘Changing me’. Within the ‘Changing me’ puzzle in every year group there
are two or three lessons which help children understand the changes that occur
to our bodies.
We invite you to attend a session on Tuesday 24th May in the school hall. in which we will
give you more of an insight into what your child will be learning about and
discussing at age appropriate levels.
We hope you are in agreement that materials of Jigsaw are important
for children’s development. If you do have concerns please do talk with the
class teacher at a convenient time.
