Thomas the Gorilla!

 What a fantastic experience we had this morning. The children all loved the experience and he even came in to our classroom !

We used our experience with Thomas to write expanded noun phrases. Then this afternoon the children got to go with Joe and were part of a green screen with a sloth and a parrot!

What a fantastic Lunar New Year celebrations we have had this morning. Thank you so much to Stephanie's parents for supplying us with special treats. Please talk to your children about what they have been tasting, it was all very delicious. We have also written about what we have learnt. 

The children will be bringing home a red envelope from Stephanie, a paper craft and a dragon to cut and stick on the black paper. These can stay at home but are great to practice cutting skills. 😃

Year 2 Week 3: 3D shapes, materials and RE visitors.

 Hello everyone. What a busy week we have had so far. In Maths we have been learning about 3D shapes. The children have been looking at vertices, faces and edges. 

Thank you so much to Sofia's Mum for teaching the children about Islam during our RE lesson and showing the children how Muslims pray. 

In Science this week the children have been investigating materials. They had to solve a problem to find the material that was the most waterproof. 

Thank you to everyone that has supplied a spare t shirt. The children will be painting their elephants tomorrow afternoon.
