Our last week in Year 2

Hello everyone! We hope you have had a super weekend and are feeling ready for the final week in Year 2. This blog is being written with mixed emotions. We are so excited for your children to start their new chapter in Year 3 and we know they will have the most amazing time. However, we also feel incredibly sad that our time as a Year 2 family is coming to an end. I (Miss White) have had the privilege of teaching your children for 2 years, and I feel like the luckiest teacher to have watch them grow and become the amazing children that they are today.

Just a few reminders ahead of the week:

- Please can you have a hunt for any books you may have at home and return them this week. Don't worry we won't judge if you have lots!!

- It is meant to be a hot week so please send in children with sun hats, water bottles and suncream on.

- Our last PE session is on Wednesday, please ensure children have their PE kits in school.

- We are asking for children to bring in a plastic bag with their names on for them to use to bring their school books home.

See you all tomorrow, for what will be an emotional start to their final week in Year 2!

Train journey, beach and chips!

On this occasion, I am going to let the pictures do the talking for our amazing trip on the train to Weymouth which involved learning lots about the trains, exploring the beach, eating chips and fighting off seagulls!

Trip to the beach tomorrow - Year 2

Hi all, just a quick blog about the trip tomorrow. I know the weather isn't looking great right now....however...we are keeping our fingers crossed for the weather to be ok tomorrow.

We are asking that children wear school tops, but they can wear any bottoms and shoes suitable for walking and going to the beach.

Just in case we are asking for children to bring in a raincoat. Please can children also bring in a summer hat incase it is sunny.

If you haven't already, please bring in £3 for your child to have chips. Alternatively, send in with a packed lunch.

Any questions please email me!

This week in Year 2

Hi everyone. I cannot believe we are approaching the last 2 weeks of Year 2. All the adults are filled with lots of emotion as we reach the end of this academic year, however, the emotion we feel the most is pride. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of your children and how far they have come this year.

Just a few reminders about the week ahead;

- Tomorrow is Sports Day! Please ensure children come into school with their PE kit, water bottle, suncream on and a sun hat. Sports day starts at 2:10 and you are all welcome to join.

- Tuesday we are going on a trip to Weymouth. Please can you bring in £3 tomorrow or Tuesday morning if you would like your child to have chips on the beach. If you don't please send in a packed lunch.

- Friday is DANCE DAY! Please can you send your child in with a stripy top if they have one. If they don't have one, a funky t-shirt will be fine! Children can also wear any trousers of their choice. Dance day starts at 2:30 and we welcome you all to join us.

See you all tomorrow!

Reminder about swimming - Year 2

Just a reminder that Year 2 will not be swimming for the rest of the academic year. If you usually pick up your child from 1610, please remember to pick up from school.

Thank you!
