The children in Year Two are moving on to Unit 2 in their Power Maths journey.
The Topic is "Addition and Subtraction".
In this Unit we will:

• use related number facts
• compare number sentences
• make number bonds to 100
• add and subtract ones and tens
• add a 2-digit number and a 1-digit number
• subtract a 1-digit number from a 2-digit number

Year Two Maiden Castle Farm Visit - Thurs 3rd October afternoon

As part of our "Farming Fortnight" the children in Year 2 are visiting Maiden Castle Farm during the afternoon of Thursday 3rd October.
We will be walking to the farm after lunch (leaving at about 1.30) and back before the end of the school day. Please can you make sure the children bring appropriate clothing - raincoats, wellies or walking boots.

Year Two - Bicycle Writing

This week in our English Lessons we are using the theme of “Bicycles” to develop our writing.

The children have to collect facts about bicycles and group these facts into sections or paragraphs. We will be writing a report. 

The children will be working on this in their Writing Books throughout the week. Do make sure you have a look.

Mathletics - Year Two

I have set the children in Year Two some tasks to do in Mathletics.
These relate to the "Unit of Work" we are currently covering in class which is " Numbers to 100". This involves representing numbers in different visual ways, getting a good grasp of place value in 2-digit numbers, comparing numbers and ordering numbers. It will lead us in to Unit 2 which is "Addition and Subtraction".
The children's login details are the same as last year.
