Year Two - ancient Barrows of the South Dorset Ridgeway

Today the children in Y2 took a look at some of the ancient Barrows of the South Dorset Ridgeway.
Accompanied by Mr. Steve Wallis, DCC Archaeologist, the children visited the Came Down Golf Course and the site of the Viking "Pit of Doom" by the bridge on the new Weymouth Relief Road.
It's amazing to see just how many lumps and bumps there are in our local area that date back to the monuments of our ancestors!
